چکیده

Background: Dental caries is a multifactorial disease influenced by complex genetic and environmental factors. At least 27 gene polymorphisms have been identified that are associated with risk. Polymorphisms of genes encoding taste receptors, such as the TAS1R2 gene, can cause individual differences in perception sensitivity to sweet tastes. Research shows polymorphism consumption foods, which affects increasing This study aims determine relationship between rs35874116 index Tangerang Selatan population. Methods: observational cross-sectional method involving 266 research subjects (45 males 221 females; 20-55 years). DNA was extracted from venous blood using Genomic Mini Kit Geneaid genotyping process rhAmp-SNP assay kit, analyzed RT-PCR. assessed calculating D(decayed), M(missing), F(filled) on permanent teeth. The hypothesis genotype DMF-T tested Mann-Whitney test, while comparison risk Kruskal-Wallis' test. results were considered significant if p<0.05. Results: minor allele frequency 16.5%. proportion TT, TC, CC genotypes 71.%, 24.1%, 4.5%, respectively. According WHO classification, all 5.62, high category. group had higher (7.08; very high) than CT (6.05; TT (5.38; high). significantly lower those low-moderate Conclusion: there no association value people South Tangerang.
